Employment: Agreement
In accordance with the needs of the end-user department, assist in the research of the initial scope of work/services.
• Take the lead in draughting and reviewing the tender documents before they are made available to bidders.
• Oversee the preparation of answers to the bidders’ questions by the bid evaluation team.
• Take part in the technical assessment of the bids.
• Examine the sufficiency and correctness of contract documentation, such as bills of quantities, insurance, and performance bonds.
• Help with the creation of various reports pertaining to disputes, claims, and tender evaluation for management.
• Consider requests for modifications, time extensions, and contract revisions.
• Assesses and settles disagreements and claims between KAHRAMAA and its suppliers.
• When asked, help the Senior Contracts Specialists.
• Take part in the mentoring and training of Qatari staff members with less experience.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering or law and at least ten (10) years of experience supporting large, complex construction projects, ideally in a utility setting like KAHRAMAA, in the areas of assessing change orders, reviewing claims or disputes, and reviewing agreements and amendments, as well as reviewing tender documents.
Competencies Needed:
English proficiency is required, and Arabic proficiency is preferred.
